The story for the teaser trailer we are working on is not pulled directly from the book but utilizes characters and elements from the book. This image is shown from Sheriff Blackwood’s POV.I have always been fascinated by the First Person Shooter (FPS) video game genre and the unique cinematic quality you get from that POV. The story for this teaser trailer is that Blackwood is on a search and rescue call looking for a lost hiker in one of the many parks within North Port, and things don’t go as planned…We want to shoot this teaser trailer from a first-person perspective because it lends itself very well to the thriller/horror genre. The viewer is limited to what Blackwood sees. When Blackwood turns to look over her shoulder after hearing a twig snap… who knows what might be approaching from behind her in the shadows. To further limit what we can see, the story is set at night, and the main light source is her flashlight. Is there anything more creepy than seeing the shine of your flashlight reflected in the eyes of a creature hidden in the bushes? So much more fun stuff is coming!
